Jack, 

I wanted to send you an overdue thank you for the time you spent with me, first on the phone and then in person, to help me select the “right” game for our family.  You always answered your phone and when you weren’t able to speak immediately, never failed to call me back promptly.  I asked a lot of questions and you never seemed annoyed or bothered, rather happy to help me make a decision whether or not to buy a pinball machine, and if so, which one.  How many salespeople would say, “We sell everything people want, but nothing they need?”  I appreciated your time and honesty in dealing with me. 

As for the delivery, it was completed on time without any problems.  Steve and Larry delivered the pinball machine exactly when you said they would and were very careful with it as well as our house.  They were both very professional and certainly shared your enthusiasm for your business.  They made certain the machine was working correctly and after giving me some instruction, moved it to a room that I was able to lock so I was able to hide it until Christmas morning.

The pinball machine was a GREAT Christmas gift that has already received a tremendous amount of use.  Our children were very excited and said it was the best gift they had ever received.  As I told you at the time, I had a pinball machine growing up (Bow & Arrow) and still enjoy playing it when I visit my parents as it brings back great memories.  Now my son beats my brother and keeps the score on my parents’ refrigerator (with my encouragement).  I have no doubt our family will get the same enjoyment with our pinball machine. 

Again, thank you for everything from the first call through the delivery.  I will definitely recommend you to our friends and will be back myself for other games.  Take care.

   I wanted you to know just how much my wife and I appreciated all your
   help and advice during our decision to buy a new pinball machine for our
   home.  Your openness to all my “million” questions and caring that we
   make a well informed decision was apparent.  You certainly understood
   that I was not a technician and I had many doubts that I would be able
   to maintain a pinball machine of my own.  The time you spent with me
   over the phone and the numerous email messages you sent put my mind at
   ease over time and thanks to you I am happily the proud owner of a
   shinny new Stern Lord of the Rings.  Your honesty, expertise and love
   for the business came out in every conversation we had and every message
   you wrote.  I felt that you treated us like a “home user”, knowing that
   to us it was a major purchase and probably a once in a lifetime purchase
   that you wanted us to be satisfied and happy with.  I didn’t feel at all
   like I was just another “sale”.  The in-home delivery was flawless.  The

   delivery men were kind, considerate and very respectful of our home and
   the machine they were delivering.  I am still amazed on how they turned
   that tight corner and made it down the basement steps without a bump or
   a nick on themselves (thankfully), the walls or the machine.  Steve
   spent plenty of time with me going over the basics and walked me through
   all the important service menus and adjustments.  Within minutes, the
   machine was up, running and adjusted to my liking.  After the men had
   left, I tenderly played a few games and noticed the left VUK was not
   operating properly and probably needed an adjustment from shipping.  I
   called Steve in the truck who was already on his way to another service
   call and he gladly, and without question, turned the truck around, came
   back to my home, and fixed the problem.  What service, what more could
   you want.  Within the 9 months or so it took me to make my decision, I
   learned so much about pinball machines and I know that I made the right
   choice in the game I choose and the place I decided to buy from.  Since
   the game is new I don’t anticipate any problems but to the extent there
   are any now or in the future, I know you and the gang at
   Pinballsales.com will be there for us.

   Jack, thanks again for everything.  Your certainly one of a kind….but
   what do you expect from a kid from Brooklyn!

Just wanted you to know how thrilled our 10 year old son was at the sight of the Monopoly pinball machine Christmas morning. 
 
Your machine came super quick to Dayton, and we "hid" the box in plain sight in the garage for the next 4 weeks by covering the box with brown paper and explaining it was a yet to be installed water softener! 
 
A Christmas morning treasure hunt through the house led Eric to the box  in the garage with a bow on top.
 
With my husband and brother-in-law, the box was  carefully  maneuvered into the house, (in the rain), then opened and during few tense moments, "slid" down  the stairs to the basement.  It was up and running by about 5pm Christmas afternoon, and has been played everyday since, especially by my son and husband...I like it a lot, too!
 
Your quick service, answered questions and delivery were well past our expectations.
 
We'll send you a few pictures of  it all fully assembled when we get a chance.

I was surfing on the net and found your website. I happened to watch the video
interview you did with American Express. Your comments with respect to the
appropriateness of people that interface with the customer and relating it to
Sam Walton’s view was very true. We see the same thing in our business as we
interface with our customers. The comment about finding the right person for the
job being difficult in today’s employment market is true as well. Seems like
that is the case especially in New Jersey.
 
I had spoke with your earlier about purchasing the Pirates of the Caribbean
game.  I am having a party at my house tomorrow night for one of my children 
and I was considering buying one and surprising the kids.
 
 
Just wondering if I came up tomorrow could do this deal?

I must say that I had a much better experience with Jack at Pinball Sales than I did with any of the guys at the other Stern dealership. It all comes down to customer service and not only is Jack a much friendlier person to deal with, but his knowledge of pinball is far superior than any of the other dealer's employees I spoke with. By the way, your Nascar pin looks and plays great. I am looking forward to playing it again sometime soon.

Re; New ELVIS PINBALL

Jack,  all went smoothly with the set-up.  My pinball tech Doug was here shortly after I arrived in Fairview at about 6:45 PM, and he supervised the set-up and inspection.  Doug said the game is in superb, mint condition.  He couldn't find an imperfection anywhere, and he was surprised that the title was impressive.  He complimented the sound, which is the best he's ever heard from Stern, and an indication that the company is showing improvement in this area.  My wife, kids and friends all love the game, the color, the lights, the music and the gorgeous art work on the cabinet.  Along with The Simpson's Pinball Party and Lord of the Rings it is one of the three excellent titles that Stern has released since the beginning of the millenium.    We look forward to hours and hours of pleasure with this game, and I salute you on a good deal.  Thanks for the goodies as well!.............Sam

Anyway, small talk occurs I tell who I'm getting the game through and he says yeah he is a good guy and that I should continue to buy through him. Does not ask how much I paid or try to take business away from the guy. Just states that he is a good guy and a straight shooter.

Now honestly people, that is the type of attitude that puts a warm fuzzy in your belly! Someone not out for the almighty buck!

Dear Jack:

When I found your website and contacted you about purchasing a pinball machine you invited me to come over to your showroom/warehouse in Lakewood, NJ. When I arrived you introduced yourself and showed me the pinball machines in your showroom. When I saw the machines I thought they were all new ones.

You informed me some were new and the others are refurbished. I just could not tell the difference between the new and refurbished machines. What pride you and your employees take restoring pinball machines. Then you gave me a tour of your warehouse and explained to me what is done with each machine from start to the finished product. I was so impressed, I made up my mind here was the place I was going to purchase a pinball machine.

The only problem for me was what machine should I choose. You had so many. Well, as you know I picked the Jurassic Park Pinball Machine. You informed me when the machine would be ready to be delivered. On that delivery day you called me informed me that your truck was on it's way. When your truck arrived your employees first wanted to see what room to put the machine in. Then your employees carefully unloaded the machine from the truck and hand trucked it in.

I was very impressed which the way you had the machine totally packaged and wrapped to protect from any scratches. After your employees set up the machine, they educated me on the machine and made reference to the machine manual. They started the machine and made sure everything was in order, then they gave me instruction on the care and maintenance of the machine. I was very impressed. I can see you and your employees take pride in the products you sell.

From the beginning of the refurbishing process to the end when the machine is delivered. My Jurassic Park machine looks brand new. I would never know that this pinball machine was built in 1993. Once again what pride you and your employees take. I will tell all of my friends and neighbors to see you first if they want any game room product.

Thanks Jack -Steve called, and explained how to fix the issue. It was a simple adjustment
and gives me a chance to open the machine up :)

I suspect it could have something to do with 4800' of elevation and the high
humidity.

But either way you guys rock, and I've never had a better experience in
dealing with any company :)

Dionne Miller here. You may remember that my brother-in-law found your company and had me call you on Tuesday, Dec. 16 to order the Lord of the Rings pinball machine. I had been working with a retailer I found on the web and at the last minute was told he couldn't get me the machine. I was devastated because this was the present I wanted to give my husband for Hannukah (Dec 19). I called and you assured me that you could ship one out to me the very next day. I was thrilled. I had hoped to have the machine in my home by that Friday but the delivery company wound up delivering it  Tuesday!

I can't tell you how excited my husband was to get a pinball machine, and not just any pinball machine, the Lord of the Rings pinball. It is an awesome machine and the best present I ever got him. I am now officially "the best wife a man could have"!

Hey everyone. I just wanted to thank Jack and the crew down at

Jack. We enjoyed his great showroom and company. What a great layout
and system you have there Jack. Jack has always been helpful, and not
afraid to go out on a limb and help someone out. Even if he is in it
for NOTHING except to help someone else out. Yes, when I was screwed
on e-bay by someone I cannot name due to a signed document just trying
to get my money back .....he stepped out to help me. Thanks. Now, Jack

can say is that if someone is looking for a piece of equipment for
their home...... I would go to Jack. Just my opinion. It is so good to
see Jack and Gary Stern promoting and keeping Pinball alive again.

I set it up following the directions enclosed, used the book to set the free play option (which as I told you on the phone I had to buy separately with the other company's machine), and away we went.
 
My son and I both love this game. It's very challenging and will be a family favorite for years to come.

4/5/05 - What A Great Game - What Great Service!

Hi Jack – Greetings from the Great White North!

 “The Soprano’s” have arrived!!  My husband just unpacked our new pinball game and we’ve being playing it non-stop for over 4 hours.  It is “unf+Xnbelievable” !!

 This machine traveled  all the way from you to Mayerthorpe, Alberta Canada in just under 3 weeks.  It arrived in pristine condition, so easy to set up and just plug in and play.  The sound is awesome – clips , theme music and voices straight from the Series!

 The game play is phenomenal – very original and gets you hooked right away.  (Just about made ‘capo’!)

 Thank you for the great service we received!  (and for being so patient with all my pre-shipping calls…I was just so excited!!)   Everything from start to finish has been top notch.  Your personal service is what make your company so great!
